Summer is coming to an end and we want to share the news that Junior Summer School has been a great success and an unforgettable time for everyone! In July and August students from all over the world arrived to experience not only Cardiff and British culture but to meet new people and to improve their English. Students with many different nationalities and more than 10 different mother tongues were united at Peartree Languages.
The classes were divided according to the different levels, from A1 to B2+ and even C1. Many students improved their English skills really quickly, with some students improving by 2 levels in one month! Doctor Who, creating own game arcades and recycling, these were just a few topics that have been covered during the lessons in the morning. However, we have to say that the favourite classroom activity were communication games. So, what is better than talking about current issues like global warming and how to make our planet a safe place.. right… nothing!
In this year, our students participated in different social activities in the afternoons. The favourite and most amusing activity was ice skating. Although there was a lot of falling and slipping you could hear students laughing and having a good time on the ice - it's a great way to boost team-work and make new friends. Furthermore the Junior Summer School had different day trips to Bristol, Tenby or Oakwood Theme Park on the weekends.
The Junior Summer School is the best opportunity for teenagers to improve their English, to experience British culture, to meet new people and to make unforgettable memories.
Peartree Languages can not wait for the next Junior Summer School in 2018!
