It seems like a long time ago, but I am sure you remember our Christmas raffle and our money collection that was running for the whole of December.
Many people could participate in the collection and we are very happy to say that it was not only students from Peartree Languages, but also our staff, walk- in customers, locals from Canton and other friends of the school who happily donated a couple of pounds for a great cause.
The collection had one aim, all the money will be donated to BAWSO, an organisation in Cardiff providing specialist services to victims and BME people affected or at risk of by Domestic Abuse and all forms of violence. We are delighted to announce that Peartree Languages collected £85 and the donation will be used towards supporting children, families and entire communities who are at risk or affected by different forms of gender-based violence.
The money was personally given to a member of BAWSO’s staff and our very good friend, Zuzana, who has been working for the organisation for a long time. In case you didn’t have the chance to donate the money you can still do it directly on BAWSO’s website: http://www.bawso.org.uk/.
Peartree Languages would like to thank everybody who participated in the collection and helped or donated prizes for our Christmas Raffle.
In case you would like to know more about BAWSO organisation, you can read our interview with Zuzana here:
